Because 85 percent of all job placements happen through networking,
as a parishioner you can play a very important role in helping
others find work. It is not a matter of having a job for them. It is simply a matter of
volunteering some time to talk with a job seeker or provide information and guidance.
What is important is contact building, which is what networking is
all about. Most of us don't have unfilled positions at work, but
maybe we have a friend, or a friend of a friend, who has an open
position and would be glad to get the help. Some employers offer rewards for referrals. Job
seekers are looking for contacts, rather than recommendations,
though recommendations can be helpful.
Please review the list to see if you can help.
And remember our job seekers in your prayers.
Thanks, from all the job seekers, for your help and prayers.
